Video production cost in Toronto

What video production actually costs in Toronto.

Quality video production in Toronto typically runs from $10,000 to $100,000+ depending on complexity. Most projects land between $25,000 and $75,000.
A single-day interview shoot with one camera and minimal editing sits at the lower end. A multi-location brand film with animation, drone work, and several cutdowns sits at the top. Both are "video production." They are not the same job.

What Actually Moves the Number

Five things drive the cost of most video projects.

Shoot days.

One day is standard for a simple interview or product video. Two to three days for something with multiple locations or complex setups. Every additional day adds crew, equipment, and logistics costs.

Crew size.

A two-person crew (director and camera operator) costs less than a five-person crew with a dedicated sound person, gaffer, and production assistant. Most corporate projects do not need a large crew. Some do.

Locations.

One location is simpler. Multiple locations mean travel time, permits, and additional setup. Filming inside an operating facility adds safety orientation and insurance requirements.

Animation and motion graphics.

Basic lower-thirds and text overlays are included in most projects. Custom 2D or 3D animation adds significant time and cost.

Deliverables.

One finished video costs less than one video plus three social cutdowns, vertical edits, and a still library. Planning for multiple deliverables from one shoot is more cost-effective than booking separate projects.

Pricing by Project Type

Item No.

02. Industrial and Manufacturing Video

$15,000 to $60,000

Factory tours, process films, machinery demos, and safety training. These projects often require additional planning for site access, safety orientation, and insurance certificates.

03.Documentary Production

$25,000 to $100,000+

Long-form non-fiction, founder stories, and impact films. Documentary work takes longer in the edit because the story is built in post. Most projects run five to eight weeks from kickoff to delivery.

04.Commercial and Brand Film

$25,000 to $100,000+

05. Non-Profit and Charity Video

$10,000 to $40,000

Impact films, donor campaigns, and beneficiary stories. We offer discounted rates for registered non-profits. The scope is usually tighter, but the care required is higher.

06. Social Media and Short-Form Content

$5,000 to $20,000

Should you just generate it with AI?

Sometimes, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise. If you need forty product explainers in a month or the same module in six languages, AI is faster and cheaper. No honest argument against it.

Where it does not work is anything that depends on the viewer believing a person. A generated founder is not a founder. A synthetic testimonial is worthless. And you cannot generate your factory floor, your team, or what makes you different.

So the split is roughly: volume, uniformity and speed → AI. Trust, people and place → film it.
If you're weighing the two, tell us on the call. We'll give you a straight answer even when the answer is that you don't need us.

Who You Will Actually Be Working With

Gokhan, Emir and Jason run every Skyrex project. The first call, the shoot, and the edit.

There is no account manager relaying your notes to someone who was not in the room. On a two-day corporate shoot that matters more than it sounds, because most of the useful decisions get made on the day.
